Elodie studies in the north of Spain, where a Major Cultural Route of the Council of Europe passes through – The Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela.
This millenary Route crosses all of Europe through numerous itinerary beacons leading the walkers and pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. The walkers from the Route let Elodie in on their motivations. Amongst them, Pauline who took off by herself from her home in Belgium on a 3000 kilometre long walk, crossing France and Spain in four months.

Santiago de Compostela was proclaimed the first European Cultural itinerary by the Council of Europe in 1987. This route from the French-Spanish border was – and still is – taken by pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela.
