Erika is a young Lithuanian woman living in Vilnius, member of cafebabel.com, an organisation set 10 years ago by Erasmus students and gathering young journalists over Europe.
Equality between men and women is a fundamental right, a joint value within the European Union.
Lithuania can be considered to be a pioneer within the domain of legal measurements regarding gender equality. It was the first Central and Eastern European country to adopt a law of equal chances in 1999.
The protection of women within civil life, domestic violence and trafficking are questions that Erika is concerned with.
